The Water Mirror is a set of five fountains located in the esplanade of the Rufino Tamayo Museum. The purpose of this rehabilitation was to set up a recreational and gathering space. Resting areas were established for the protection of trees, raised garden beds were built as well as pedestrian crosswalks connecting with Paseo de la Reforma. An irrigation network was implemented, and street lighting directed at trees and fountains were installed. A water recirculation system was built in the fountain along with sumps and pumping chambers with filters. Also, urban furniture, trash cans, and signage were added. We thank Deutsche Bank for all its support in this project.
