The park has a capacity for up to 700 skaters. The purpose behind its rehabilitation was to promote physical, recreational and leisure activities in safe public spaces. The work was part of the Bosque de Chapultepec Second Section Master Plan and represented an investment of more than 70 million pesos.
6.1 hectares were rehabilitated including the main entrance, a playground and green areas. The Skatepark consists of a street skateboarding zone, 8 platforms, ramps, stairs and other features for slides and grinds, and two 312 and 363 m2 bowls for tricks. In addition, 9 children’s playsets were installed, 50 solar street lamps, 10 benches, 10 picnic tables, 3, 313 agapanthus flowers, 663 bamboo stems, and 10 jacaranda trees; 4.5 hectares of green space were rehabilitated, 660 m2 corresponding to the pedestrian main access, and 1672 meters of walkways.
