This space is one of the most visited of Chapultepec and during the rehabilitation works of the First Section, the building of the old stables was remodeled and became a nucleus of administrative offices. In this space, the stained glass windows of the dome cannon were restored and the spherical domes of the old greenhouse, a special garden of ecological interpretation was installed (sensorial garden) where infrastructure was built so that the blind could experience through touch, hearing and smell, the diversity of the species. In addition, the following was installed throughout the garden area:

-Zone of exhibition of different didactic species.

-Water mirrors.

-Wetland and nursery areas for species reproduction.

-Public restrooms, formal walkways, ramps for people with disabilities.

-Pedestrian pebble circulation areas.

-Electrical infrastructure and urban furniture such as garbage cans, picnic benches and special signage.

Since 2016, the botanical garden has been rehabilitated by Plantando con Causa A.C. With the help of landscapers, botanists, horticulturists and biologists, it has restored 22 spaces that can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
