This new cultural venue consists of two areas distributed over an expanse of 300 square meters. The historic building, which previously served as the entrance to the former Military College of Chapultepec, has been completely rehabilitated to function as a dual space housing an On-Site Museum and a Visitor Center. The aim is to provide the more than 22 million people who visit the forest year after year with free access to the forest’s historical, biological, and cultural heritage.
The On-Site Museum presents the history of Chapultepec through museography (executed by the firm Siete Colores e Ideas Creativas) that encompasses four significant periods in the site’s life:
The Visitor Center has mechanisms in place to understand the interests of the public, in order to offer useful alternatives for better planning visits to Chapultepec based on their interests, preferences, and schedules. It will also be responsible for disseminating recent forest events, including day-to-day activities and efforts for its protection and preservation.
At this site, you can find products related to the forest and purchase them to contribute to the rescue efforts that are carried out the forest every year. Our permanent objective is to continue improving the conditions of the infrastructure and green areas of the Forest
Help us achieve it!
