Located in the Second Section, the museum was designed by architect Leónides Guadarrama and opened on October 24, 1964. The galleries themes are the universe, the origin of life, taxonomy, evolution, humans, biogeography and creative residences. The exhibit is conformed of 2,775 objects and harbors the National Insect Collection, with 55,000 specimens.
During the visit, you will learn about botany, astronomy, history or zoology. There is also a library, and educational environmental activities and popular science sessions such as bird and tree monitoring are carried out in its gardens.
