Currently, in the Lebanon Park, located in the first Section, green areas in poor condition, dead standing, and infested trees predominate the park, which represents a latent risk for a high number of users, also, lack street furniture, multiple informal pedestrian paths, and insufficient lighting. Due to current conditions, this zone is preponderantly a place of passage, underused, deteriorated, undervalued, and perceived as unsafe.
For this reason, in the Pro Bosque Trust, in coordination with the Department of the Environment and the Citizen´s Advisory Board, we proposed its comprehensive rehabilitation through various actions, mainly dedicated to the environmental regeneration of the park, the creation of a wetland, as well as rehabilitation of the existing infrastructure, creation of new connections between important axes, as it is an area of high pedestrian flow, the implementation of road safety elements and landscape architecture.
It is worth mentioning that the executive project is currently under development, in charge of the office C Cúbica Arquitectos. The purpose of this project is to substantially improve the conditions of this space, and thereby benefit all users who are close to it, since it will cease to be a semi-abandoned and passing area, for a place with its mission as a living urban space.
