Recreational Areas of de Second Section of Chapultepec Forest
The Second Section features recreational spaces such as the lakes, the “La Tapatía” children’s park, the Paseo de los Compositores, the rowboats, Lomas Park, and Aztlán Park.
“La Tapatía” is a children’s play area designed for kids to enjoy high-quality, safe playground equipment. Shaped like an amoeba, it features 13 play modules for children ages 2 to 12.
Inaugurated in 1964 with a recreational and sports-oriented focus, it covers an area of 168.03 hectares. Its grasslands and bodies of water offer a daily space to enjoy nature, while its running circuits promote a healthy lifestyle. It is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
