Actions Taken:
- Designed by architect Mario Schjetnan.
- Installation of resting areas to protect trees, with integrated planters around the water mirror.
- Construction of pedestrian walkways connecting perpendicularly to Paseo de la Reforma.
- Implementation of an irrigation system, exterior lighting, and focused lighting for trees and fountains.
- Construction of a water circulation system, including sumps and pump rooms with filters in the fountain. A total of 5 trays were built for the water bodies, covering more than 760 m².
- Installation of urban furniture, such as benches and sun loungers, as well as trash bins and signage.
- Planting of over 6,000 agapanthus.
- Placement of 600 m² of grass, 800 m² of topsoil, 1,730 m² of black concrete pavers, and 1,730 m² of cobblestone mats.
- In 2008, the Water Mirror received the Honor Award for General Design, Fountain Promenade at Chapultepec Park, granted by Professional Awards, American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
