Pest Wildlife Control

Actions Taken:

  • Reduction of the rat population.
  • Relocation of species such as cats, dogs, squirrels, mojarra fish, and pigeons.
  • Reduction of nesting sites through non-lethal techniques.
  • Implementation of actions to promote the presence of endemic and endangered species such as the Mexican sparrow, axolotl, acocil crayfish, mexcalpique, and cacomixtle.
  • These efforts encouraged the arrival of migratory birds and restored the environmental balance and health of Chapultepec Forest.
