Rehabilitation of Paseo de los Compositores and Xochipilli Fountain

Actions Taken:

  • Project by Architect Enrique Lastra – Sackbé
  • Restoration of the area with a new design, transforming it into the main pedestrian corridor, a recreational space, exhibition area, and a connection between parks—providing spaces for family gatherings and visitor leisure.
  • Creation of two plazas featuring play fountains that reach up to 20 meters in height.
  • Implementation of a comprehensive water system, including the installation of a vortex.
  • Installation of 165 play fountains along the entire promenade.
  • Recovery of approximately 7,500 m² of green areas.
  • Forest sanitation across 3,700 m², including the planting of 145 trees, 9,000 agapanthus, and 3,000 m² of grass.
  • Incorporation of 108 solar panel units.
  • Installation of new urban furniture: 28 benches and 101 LED light poles.
  • Restoration of the 10 busts of Mexico’s most important composers.
  • All this work represents an annual reduction of 18,670 kilograms of CO₂ emissions, a monthly energy savings of 3,419 kilowatts, and more than 1,690 cubic meters of water saved.
  • This project was carried out by architect Enrique Lastra, in coordination with the company Sackbé.
