Proyecto Bosque de Chapultepec Naturaleza y Cultura

The Chapultepec Forest: Nature and Culture Project is a comprehensive initiative made up of 41 interventions aimed at consolidating Chapultepec Forest as a collective and cultural space accessible to everyone. The project seeks to ensure balanced coexistence with the environment and to strengthen efficient connectivity both within the Forest and with Mexico City.

-The 41 planned interventions are scheduled to be completed before 2024, although long-term actions are also envisioned. The Project is structured around three main pillars: social, environmental, and cultural.

-The social pillar focuses on strengthening Chapultepec Forest as an inclusive, collective space by promoting greater access and improving connectivity—not only between its sections, but with its broader surroundings.

-The environmental pillar aims to protect Chapultepec Forest as one of the city’s main green lungs, revitalizing and expanding its green areas. Interventions under this pillar are designed to increase soil fertility, replant endemic species that support efficient maintenance, and ensure the Forest’s long-term water sustainability.

-The cultural pillar establishes actions that reaffirm Chapultepec Forest as an iconic space in Mexico City, where natural richness, history, the interaction of diverse urban stakeholders, and the arts in their various forms converge.
