Moctezuma’s Baths

Actions Taken:

  • Research and excavation to determine their historical context.
  • Consolidation of the water container through subsoil improvement measures.
  • Preparation of the site for public access, integrating it into the historical, cultural, and environmental landscape of Chapultepec Forest.
  • Construction of an access plaza and a perimeter walkway.
  • Installation of gardens throughout the site.
  • Placement of cobblestone flooring on internal walkways.
  • Installation of an informational signboard and reproduction of three archaeological pieces related to water found on the site.
  • The rehabilitation of this space was made possible thanks to donations from the Ministry of Tourism, INAH, and the Government of the Federal District, all collected through the Chapultepec Forest Trust.
  • The total investment exceeded 4 million pesos. 
  • Restoration and rehabilitation work was carried out under the supervision of INAH, through the National Coordination of Historical Monuments.
