This park and monument commemorate the life and work of writer, diplomat, and journalist Rosario Alicia Castellanos Figueroa.

The monument, inaugurated in 1976, is the work of artist María Lagunes and was restored in 2023 as part of the Chapultepec: Nature and Culture Project.
