The Museum of Modern Art offers visitors works created by Mexican and Latin American artists from the 20th and 21st centuries. Its collection includes painting, printmaking, photography, and sculpture.

Inaugurated in 1964 and designed by renowned architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, the museum houses masterpieces by notable artists such as Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Dr. Atl, Rufino Tamayo, and Mathias Goeritz. Among its most iconic pieces is Frida Kahlo’s celebrated painting “The Two Fridas.”

Under the care of the National Institute of Fine Arts, the Museum of Modern Art also contains an extensive archival collection, providing a comprehensive space for the appreciation and study of art.
