These conditions have weakened the trees, compromising their health and facilitating the spread of pests and diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this reason, the Executive Directorate of Chapultepec Park, in coordination with the Pro Bosque de Chapultepec Trust and with the support of  <strong>INIFAP <\/strong>(National Institute of Forestry, Agricultural and Livestock Research), is carrying out a project to improve the tree canopy of the \u201cEl Sope\u201d track\u2014an area under intense use in the park\u2019s Second Section\u2014prioritizing both environmental restoration and user safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Actions:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Update of the inventory-diagnosis and analysis of the tree structure to determine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dead trees, or those at risk or in severe decline, that require removal in the short term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trees that need pruning, mistletoe control, moss removal, or sanitary management for pests and diseases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reforestation requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental services provided by the tree canopy along the track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the results of the inventory-diagnosis are obtained, it will be possible to precisely determine the number of trees to be removed, the necessary pruning and stump removal, as well as the reforestation program with the most suitable species for the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, using the collected data, the environmental services provided by the tree canopy will be quantified and their economic value will be determined through the i-Tree Eco program, allowing the cost-benefit of these services for the urban forest to be expressed in universal terms.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Direcci\u00f3n Ejecutiva del Bosque de Chapultepec, en coordinaci\u00f3n con el Fideicomiso Pro Bosque de Chapultepec y con el respaldo de del INIFAP (Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agr\u00edcolas y Pecuarias), lleva a cabo el proyecto de mejoramiento de la cubierta arbolada de la pista \u201cEl Sope\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":27195,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"give_campaign_id":0},"ano":[1044],"seccion":[995],"status-actual":[1043],"class_list":["post-27194","proyecto","type-proyecto","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","ano-1044","seccion-segunda-seccion","status-actual-en-proceso"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/proyecto\/27194","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/proyecto"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/proyecto"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/27195"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=27194"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"ano","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/ano?post=27194"},{"taxonomy":"seccion","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/seccion?post=27194"},{"taxonomy":"status-actual","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.chapultepec.org.mx\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/status-actual?post=27194"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
