It is believed that Nezahualc\u00f3yotl, the King of Texcoco, planted several ahuehuete trees along this path. The formal layout dates back to the early 19th century, during the renovation works carried out in Chapultepec Forest and Mexico City, led by Jos\u00e9 Yves Limantour with the support of Miguel \u00c1ngel de Quevedo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 1900, Quevedo traveled to Europe and visited the forests of Boulogne and Vincennes. Upon his return, his observations helped President Porfirio D\u00edaz launch a campaign to build gardens and urban parks in the city. This led to the creation of new roads in the forest modeled after European designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
